What You Will Do

• Interviews and assesses all clients prior to stress testing. Reviews/acquires pertinent medical records. Reviews the physician order.
• Under the supervision of a Cardiologist:
• Monitors EKG, vital signs and observes and evaluates each client’s response to stress testing.
• Administers medications based on established department guidelines.
• Using independent judgment, determines end point of stress testing based on established Department guidelines.
• Monitors EKG, vital signs and observes the client during the recovery phase.
• Notifies the Cardiologist of any problems or complications, and initiates BLS/ACLS as necessary.
  
  

What You Will Need

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
• Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois
• Current ACLS and BLS (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
• 1-2 years of previous experience in electrocardiographic monitoring, ICU or ED.
• Certified 12-lead EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition preferred.
  
  

Salary Range: $29.78 - $48.84 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
